Meet Dr. Daniel S. Carrera
Leadership is not simply a title — it is a lifelong commitment to serving others with integrity, wisdom, and purpose. For Dr. Daniel S. Carrera, that commitment has been the driving force behind every chapter of his journey.
Born in Havana, Cuba, and fluent in four languages, Dr. Carrera has dedicated his life to service, leadership, education, and Christian ministry. A proud U.S. Army veteran, he served his country for 26 years before retiring with distinction — and the discipline and commitment to people that marked his military career continue to guide his work in communities, classrooms, and organizations today.
As CEO and President of DSC Consulting, LLC, he brings together organizational leadership, theological ethics, and behavioral health strategy — helping leaders strengthen their organizations and better serve the people who depend on them through consulting, training, and professional development.
His work also serves beyond DSC. Through leadership and instructional roles with Foundations To Success, he supports behavioral health education, staff development, family engagement, and community reentry initiatives — addressing practical needs such as continuity of care, housing, employment, and support for people returning to their communities after incarceration. Across these efforts, he seeks to connect compassionate service with sound planning and measurable results.
As Dean of Students, CFO, and an instructor at Canaan Theological Seminary and College, Dr. Carrera invests in the academic, spiritual, and personal growth of students — teaching biblical interpretation, apologetics, spiritual discernment, and biblical stewardship. He is also the author of Abraham's Divided House, encouraging careful study, faithful application, and service to others.
More than a consultant, Dr. Carrera is a mentor, educator, and servant leader committed to helping others discover their purpose, maximize their potential, and lead with confidence. His greatest fulfillment comes not from the organizations he helps improve, but from the lives transformed through stronger leadership and healthier communities.

Dr. Carrera is married to Evangelist Miranda Carrera. Together, they are blessed with four children — Melita, Marlene, Jonathan, and Nicholas— and one granddaughter, Janiyah.
